Brighton confirmed squad news against Newcastle as Neal Maupay and Yves Bissouma fall to the bench
Brighton’s key duo Yves Bissouma and Neal Maupay are surprise omissions from Brighton’s starting line-up against Newcastle United.
Albion are still without centre-back Adam Webster and midfielder Enock Mwepu, but Adam Lallana and Jeremy Sarmiento are back from hamstring injuries.
The first will have to settle for a place on the bench for the 3 p.m. kick-off but the second is not part of the squad for the shock of St James’ Park.
But the intriguing picks for today see Bissouma and Maupay fall to the bench, along with Solly March and Alexis Mac Allister.
So come Danny Welbeck, Shane Duffy, Steven Alzate and Pascal Gross.
Brighton head to the 3pm clash eight points and four places above the Magpies in 10th but Eddie Howe’s side are favorites to win this one.
