LONGi launches TOPCon Type N Hi-MO N bifacial modules at SNEC 2021
Hi-MO N maintains the optimum size of the 182mm cell and 72c module and adopts LONGi’s proprietary HPC technique based on the N-type TOPCon (high performance cell with passivated hybrid contact). The conversion efficiency is up to 22.3%, and the power reaches 570W in mass production. Designed to deliver ultra-high value and lower LCOE than large-scale PV power plants, Hi-MO N is expected to be the flagship product leading an industrial breakthrough in module efficiency and power efficiency.
From its commitment to monocrystalline silicon technology to the wide applications of monocrystalline silicon-based PERC technology spanning P-type bifacial technology to M6 and M10 wafer standards, each of LONGi’s breakthroughs is based on maximizing industrial value. and reduction of LCOE. LONGi’s technologies have accelerated the photovoltaic industry. Hi-MO N, the recently unveiled TOPCon module is the latest masterpiece of LONGi’s continuous innovation that delivers unprecedented improved performance.
With N-type TOPCon based on LONGi HPC technique, Hi-MO N can achieve higher bifacial gain, better temperature coefficient and low irradiance performance, lower working temperature, better LID performance and PID. The energy efficiency is 2-3% higher than that of traditional P-type bifacial modules.
In tandem with “Zero” cell damage and LONGi’s proprietary smart soldering technology, Hi MO N is PID-free under irradiation. The degradation in the initial year is less than 1% and the linear degradation is less than 0.4% (the degradation of similar common products is around 2% in the initial year and the linear degradation is about 0.45% per year). Calculated over a 30-year life cycle, the conversion efficiency of Hi-MO N modules will be 2.45% higher than that of other consumer products on the market.
In addition to high energy efficiency and low light-induced degradation, Hi-MO N also shows its value in lowering BOS costs with its higher modulus efficiency. The 182mm module can minimize the costs associated with rack, cable, UPS and labor. Its high conversion efficiency of 22.3% can increase installed capacity by more than 3.5% in space limited areas and reduce BOS costs as well as AC equipment and operation and maintenance costs throughout. throughout the life cycle of power plants.
The energy efficiency and lifecycle cost savings of the Hi-MO N system offer higher values for customers, compared to common P-type bifacial modules on the market.
With the release of Hi-MO N, LONGi’s portfolio now includes the product families “Hi-MO N”, “Hi-MO 5” and “Hi-MO 4”: Hi-MO 4 is suitable for mountainous regions and in areas where the handling of modules may be difficult. Hi-MO 5 is the flagship of very large power plants. Hi-MO N is most suitable for applications on surfaces with high reflections, high temperature, limited terrain and high labor costs.
