It’s the shocking moment a man from Glasgow was caught illegally dumping construction waste in Milngavie.
David McCourt, 33, covered the back license plate of his pickup truck before dumping construction waste near Balvie Cottage on Stockiemuir Road in May 2020.
CCTV footage captured McCourt laying wood and drywall on the edge of the grass.

He was given a community reimbursement order with 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay £ 300 compensation for the
The owner of the chalet, who has experienced fly spill issues for the past five years, has contacted the East Dunbartonshire Council Community Safety Officer.
They are responsible for all the fly dumping problems in the area.
After reviewing the CCTV footage, the Community Safety Officer tracked down McCourt’s details before reporting the matter to Scottish Police.
Finance, wildlife and environmental attorney Fiona Caldwell told the court the fly spills were a real concern to the public.
She said: “Theft is a real and legitimate public concern. It is criminal behavior that creates horror on the landscape and is expensive to clean up.
“David McCourt has shown a lack of consideration for the environment through his deliberate and criminal action.
“There is no excuse for the illegal dumping of waste and those who choose to do so will be held to account.”
